Owl!


I'm using a G hook and worsted yarn. I also sl st at the end of each round to the first st and ch 1
Owl pattern-
Body-
Ch 11
1) 2 sc in 2nd chain from hook, sc in next 8 sts , 4 sc in last stitch, sc in next 7 sts on the back side, 2 sc in the last st ( the bottom of 1st st ) sl st to 1st st. (24)
2) 2 sc in first 2 sts, sc in next 9 sts, 2sc in next 3 sts, sc in next 9 sts, 2 sc in last st (30)
3-15) sc around (30)
16) 3 sc, 1 dec around (24)
17) 2 sc, 1 dec around (18)
Stuff
18) 1 sc, 1 dec around (12)
19) dec around (6)
sl st close
Wings 2x-
1) 6 sc in magic ring (6)
2) 1 inc, 1 sc around (9)
3) sc around (9)
4) 1 inc, 2 sc around (12)
5) sc around (12)
6) 1 inc, 3 sc around (15)
-Close off
Eyes 2x-
1) 6 sc in magic ring (6)
2) inc around (12)
-Cut off
Beak-
1) 4 sc in magic ring (4)
2) 1 inc, 1 sc around (6)
-Cut off
Feet 2x-
1) 6 sc in magic ring * Do not join! (6)
2) popcorn st, sl st 3x across. (3 popcorn sts)
-Cut off
To make ears I pinch the two top edges and stitch back and forth through the pinched part until the ears look like how I want them. Then I stitch the v shapes on the chest. This pattern is a bit different then the 2 other ones I’ve written so let me know if something doesn’t make sense. Usually I just memorize the patterns. I’m just now starting to write them down. J

  6. Too cute! I love these. I've made some myself but yours are so cute! Think I will give one to my daughters teacher at the end of the year with a note that says.. 'Thanks for the knowledge, it's been a HOOT' or something like that. lol
